Default Getting rid of spyware?

Keeps changing my default homepage too about:blank. cant seem to change it back

any ideas?

spybot?http://www.safer-networking.org/ download latest version 1.3 i think, 1.2 just seemed 2 stop getting updates
adaware?

Adaware definately fixes the about:blank thing. I know this beacuse I purposefully have my homepage set to about:blank & Adaware keeps trying to delete the setting - I have it set to ignore. Make sure you have the latest Adaware version.

spyware blaster is also excellent as a preventative measure.

I've got this as well! Damm pain in the butt!
I've downloaded some free software before but seems to have come back so i'll have to try some of the above too!
Microsoft talk about installing firewalls to prevent again but this seems bit too techy for me!

If you use the net, you HAVE to have a firewall. No excuses!

It still wont totally prevent spyware etc, but it stops your computer from being attacked, infected and used to attack other peoples computers.

none worked. its still hijacked and loads some pop up saying need spyware, how apt!

All good programs and I've used many myself. The most comprehensive scanner I've come across is Spy Sweeper. Think it costs about $30 to subscribe, but you can download a trial version with the latest engine for free. This will at least clean up your machine and allow you to protect it in the future. You can also do a free audit to check your machine.
