I'm a little narked by this game, as to install it you have to install Punkbuster, now its not the concept of what Punkbuster is there for that I disagree with (anti cheats), but I do object to the idea that 'screen shots' can be forwarded automatically by this s/w to Actiivison - I'm assuming only while the game is running?

It just worries me a little - anyone know how to turn this s/w off?
Or will Norton Firewall block it?

they used to make you run punkbuster for counterstrike, this will only come into use when playing online mulitplayer.

the problem the developers face is that as soon as a new version of pb is installed, cheating *******s are already writing new scripts to bypass them. I doubt PB will be used for long in conjunction with this game.

I think you may find that the game will encounter problems if your AV stops any information being sent, may see it as a cheat in its own right and kick you from servers.........

I believe there is a checkbox in one of the options to turn punkbuster off(and PB may only be a multiplayer thing anyway), but most servers will not let you play online with PB off.

Thanks guys - I'll check the configuration out, as you say probably only in the multiplayer mode. Certainly no options in the single player mode.
