Well I was going to suggest look on ebuyer for the printer and also check consumable prices whilst on-line. Seen as you want it tomorrow you are stuck with places such as pcworld /spits/ - same thing applies, check printer price and also ink/toner/etc prices..
for none colour work I'd recommend a cheap laser..

if it means anything to you, we only support printers at work if they are HP
they are best of a bad bunch ( asuming ink jet )
if you can do with out colour a lazerjet 1300 ( might even be 1400 now they update the model every so oftern ) is a cracking little printer and toner is far cheaper per sheet of paper than ink
what ever you go for make sure you take a look at the price of the toner

Get an epson inkjet. You can get all cartridge copies for 2.78 off ebuyer with the chips built in. Have done this for over 5 years with 3 epsons no diffrence in quality despite epsons warning about coagulants.
For £71 you could get an R200 that has 6 ink photo quality 5760dpi and prints direct to CD/DVD faces.
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=58681
also lists all cartridges and copies.

lol just what I would expect from epson I haven't had loads of HP they just last

we only buy printers that keep our calls down ... we bought a dozen or so epsons and none lasted more than a year and the aftersale was crap
but I im talking a business environment, Cannon also do some good stuff I would rate epson bottom of the pile, but this is becaue they produce very cheap printers for home users ... I have never worked on there better gear
I wouldn't be so quick to write Epson off Rich. We use mainly Epson at work in a pre-press environment and almost every single design office I have been in are run from Epson.
The print quality is by far superior to HP even if they are noisier and slower (usually). As far as longevity, my mum is still printing 1440 dpi images from my 3 year old stylus 660.

I know PC World have on occasions, advertised stuff in the national press as an offer and then you go into the store and it's still full price.Only when you produce the literature do they realise!! Doh!!

I would imagine the offer would be across all the stores though rather than individual ones.Might be worth givin em a call and see what they say
Good luck
