XBox DVD and infrared

Just got my XBox, and then realised MS want £20 for the DVD Infra red gadget and the remote controller.

Seeing as I have an single learning remote I'd like to use, can I get the Infra red plug in gadget seperately?

a few online places will do a few quid off - but then you get P&P.

I used the remote for both minutes - whilst I learnt it into my Pronto. And still no Remote on/off without further mods.
