Best XBox Live game?

first off, the headset.
You get one free with your 12month subscription package so that takes care of that.
Plus you get 2 live enabled games, MotoGP and Mechassault (these are live play only, you can't play the games offline - to do that you have to own/rent the full game)
As for what games, depends what you're after.
My personal faves are:
Rainbox Six 3
MotoGP 1 & 2
Project Gotham Racing 2
RallySport Challenge 2
Amped 2
Crimson Skies
That pretty much covers all areas, I've got lots of other live enabled games but hardly play them online (like Return to castle wolfenstein - tried to play that for the first time online the other week and got kicked for just being a newbie, and Sega GT online which just plain sux online, and Ghost Recon which is so full of spawn-campers it really spoils the game)
