Power supply for U.S. electronics in UK?
I need to plug my U.S. spec. Palm cradle into the mains, in order to back it up to my PC.
What do I need to buy and where from (that's open on a Sunday - Maplin?)? Presumably a transformer of some sort...

The voltage step-down is easy; the difficult part is altering the cycle. We use a 50Hz supply, thats 50 pulses a second if you like; whereas the Americans use 60Hz. If it isnt a multi voltage / cycle adapter then it isnt really going to be practical to use it.

Hello
You need something like this: http://www.110220volts.com/Merchant2...ormer/100-WATT and Maplins should sell them.
Check the power adaptor though, as most of the things I have bought in America recently are happy to work with 110-240V, so you just need a pencil (to push the "earth" socket) and put the American plug in.
Steve.
