If you're in london, definitely take a look at bulldog adsl (do a google for them). They do 512k for 19.99 iirc, but sometimes cheaper if they have an offer on

Bulldog are superb; £25 per month for a 1Mbps line £30, for a 2Mbps line, both off-peak using their redundant capacity from a predominately business customer base. Only down side is the connection fee of £50+ which I was too mean to pay...
