Converting .mp4 videos
My XDA saves videos as new .mp4 files, but none of my std players on the PC will fully accept them I've transfered them over as backup. I usually get the sound dropped.
There's lots of fancy software on the market that is over the top and of course I have to pay for.
Is there any freeware that can convert to a file type readily accepted by Meida Player, Real Player etc.

QuickTime should play them. They will probably be 3GPP format videos in an MPEG4 wrapper.
