Default IPAQ using serial???

Right, I'm wondering if it's possible to get/make/use a lead from the port on my 2210 to convert it to a serial port for outputting data. You might all think I've gone mad, and taking a leap backwards in technology, but at work I use a laptop to 'blow' software into small PC104 boards via the serial port, and any old comms program (usually use hyperterminal). It would be sooooo much easier if it were possible to use a comms prog/lead on the IPAQ, for various reasons, as the PC104 is built into electronic safety systems on construction plant out in the field. Maybe this is possible, maybe not, but I remember a guy doing something similar a couple of years ago with his PDA type device. Thinking about it, maybe his PDA back then used serial port, and not USB??

Chris.

PS - The software files are never at the uttermost bigger than 900K ish.

Thumbs up

Great stuff Avi, cheers, I had come across this when trawling through the net, and wondered if it would do the job I needed. Just need to find a comms program of some sort for the IPAQ now I suppose.

Chris.
