Windows 2003 - Web Server Edition and CALs
Hi All,
Following on from jase555's question.
I'm about to build a web server based on this OS. All interactions from users will be pure anonymous HTTP. I'm guessing here, but can anyone confirm that I will not require any CALs for this configuration ?
(Note - I haven't had a play with this OS yet, but the project guys need to order the box this week).
Cheers
Ian

Correct
MS CAL Overview for WS2003
This holds true for all editions of Windows Server 2003, except Web Edition. Windows CALs are not required for Web Edition.

Excellent, thanks Chris.
There was a time I could find anything I need on the MS site, or through the MSDN site/disks. Can't seem to find anything these days.
Cheers
