Default Installing on a laptop with no screen

Ok further to my usual wierd laptop questions along the lines of installing an operating system on a laptop with no cd or floppy drives i have another one!

I have another old laptop which at some point has been dropped and the screen no longer works (big purple/orange smashed mess on screen) but functions fine via the network when using VNC to connect to it. (probably just going to use it to store some files / leave running to download stuff)

Id like to change the operating system from XP to 2000 for use over the network via VNC but obviously this is going to be impossible on the unit itself as it has no screen. Everything else works perfectly including floppy and cdrom.

The obvious answer would to be hook a desktop monitor up to it but I just got rid of our last desktop machine and we now only have 4 laptops!

Might be an impossible on but thought if anywhere knows, Scoobynet will

Cheers

David

do you have the same laptop anywhere? You could do the install by transplanting the H/D and then putting back when done?

Just a thought
