problems logging into secure sites?
i've tried logging into my hotmail / hsbc / halifax websites but all seem to come up with the 'page cannot be displayed' error page.
any pointers in where or what has gone wrong.
no problems with browsing or surfing anything else.

Yep, this is a known issue with a MS recent update, probably installed automatically.
There is now a new update to fix the old update ??!!
Run windows update & make sure your all up to date
