Default Batch file to work out day of the week (Win2k3 server)

For our Win2k server I've been using a batch file to backup certain files into either a mon, tues, wed, thur or fri folder

I've successfully used:
FOR /F "tokens=1" %%i in ("DATE /T") do set today=%%i

We've just got a Win2k3 server and this command isn't working now...
instead of setting today="Mon"
its setting today= "29/04/2004"

Anyone know how to fix this ?

Thanks in advance

Weekday(Now) Will give you the day of the week number, starts at 1 IIRC.
