Anyone with an ibook the 2 usb model. I think my mains adapter is broken, IIRC when you touch the gold insert plug and the silver outer sheath the green light comes on on the plug, has to be plugged into the mains. Would someone mind testing this for me to see if their's does this?

I've done a quick search on the 'net and there is talk of problems with the power adapter for powerbooks. If you still have an AppleCare Warranty on the ibook I'd contact AppleCare and mention the problem, they might send you a new adapter, I think they did change the design of it, though I'm not 100 percent sure.

Mine is over a year old and I never bothered with the Applecare extension.
