Who has a video in port on their video card and...
if so have you used it and how did you get the picture on the monitor to display as opposed to the pcs video display?
Mate at work suggested I plug the ps2/xbox cable into the video in port while the pc is off and then boot the pc up with the ps2/xbox on and the external display will be the primary display. Is this the way to do it or is it done another way?
I have a 21" screen and the games console dedicated tv has gone t!ts up so want to use it through the video in port on the pc if possible.
Cheers for any help

In display properties of your gfx card, you should have an option to switch the input to TV/AUX. Depending on what kind of gfx card and drivers u have installed of course. I have an old but rare Gforce2 GTS card which has VIVO, this is how I get my ps2 onto the pc monitor. Take into account you will get a picture but no sound if use a svideo connection. You will also need to route sound from the console to the lineIN on the PCs soundcard as well.
There are adapters out there which will do exactly what u want as well I believe.

I've got a Leadtek Winfast A250LE Ti4200 with a video in and video out so this is what I want to run the ps2/xbox through onto the 21" monitor.
How do you actually swap between the pc display and the console/aux display when using your xbox?

B2Z - Mines a PCI card independent from my graphics card, so I display picture-in-picture. Should be able to do the same with yours ? If you use Leadtek WinPVR (may be able to get it from their website ?) then it should do the trick. I use mine for X-Box as well as converting old VHS to DVD.

Here we go, you can get the latest WinFast PVR here: http://www.leadtek.com.tw/support/do...?pronameid=292
AFAIK, it works for all Leadtek video-in cards.
