Best way to register a web site with search engines
I have built a web site for a local kids cycling club and want to know the best way (free!) to get it registered with search engines.
I have the meta tags and keywords sorted, but what is the best way to get on the search engines list?
cheers
Ken

Put the URL in as many online places as you can e.g. this post has just moved my crap page up the rankings with many search engines.

i think you will all find seo has alot more to it than that now, metatags are not longer relevant and keyword stuffing hardly works if ever. I would suggest if you are really into it then go to somewhere like sitepoint or webmasterworld and have a look up on google rankings. If you are not really that interested and ur keyword phrase that you want people to find you under is not that competetive, then i can give you a few suggestions, worked in seo/ecom for a long time now. However its really a huge can of worms and there is alot more to it than you think, hence google has been almost my full time job for 3 years now
