Default Xbox: Just sooo cool

Hello

Having finally got another modchip to work in my Xbox, I just have to say again how amazing this machine is.

I can load movies on to the hard drive, to the delight of my daughter, put games on there as well so that I don't have to get jam all over my game DVDs (daughter again). It'll even connect to the internet and tell me the weather....

Sorry, no point to this apart from me being impressed.

Steve.

How are you running a 250Gb disk ?

Do you have some patch for the limit > i.e. 137 Gb....

PPS - Boxst - Can't help but agree - I've one downstairs for movies and games - my lad has one in his room for same and I have one in my room for media only (This one is 54G wireless too)

The wireless set up was much easier to do than run 100Mb cable, but it can be a little slow on movie FTPs...

There are LBA48 support patches on most software and bios to support the G drive which is allocated any free space left

If you're using X2 bios then just use XBTool to add the support

If anyone fancies a chipped xbox. I'll happily chip em and send it to you for a small fee
I usually load Evolution X for the dashboard, with Xbox Media Centre for movies/mp3/pictures etc
