Default The Return of the King : DVD Release Date

i see that for the final film the initial 2 disc dvd set is being released on the 25th May rather than Aug as for the 1st 2 films.

hopefully this means the proper 4 disc SEE will be out around Aug

cant wait.

also they are releasing a 6 disc set of all 3 films on the 25th May as well for anyone whos not bought them yet !

I'd heard that the special edition was still slated for November despite the other one being brought forward

One good thing though is Mr Jackson has said that it's going to be significantly longer than the theatrical release, and has even had Gandalf etc back in the recording studio to film / record new bits. Sounds like Christopher Lee is going to be put back in as well

Actually the proper (retail) pirate came out last weekend, all other versions have been screeners.

Very true, dunno why the studios can't get these films out quicker.

Open Range (pirate retail) for eg was released about 3 months ago, it's only just about to open in the cinema here, good film too.....err so i've been told.
