auto_open macro in WORD ???
I know that if a macro is saved as auto_open in excel it will automatically fire up when the file is accessed.
It doesn't though in Word. Anyone got a clue how to get a macro to fire up as soon as a document is opened ? Or do you have to put it into normal.dot ???

I think it needs to be in normal.dot and called AutoOpen or AutoExec.
HTH.
John.
Edited to add: Re-read your post and it doesn't need to be in normal.dot if you want it to relate to one specific file.
