I want to access my home network (XP machines) from work (Win2k laptop behind firewalls). I have looked at VNC over SSH but it looks quite hard!

I am technical, so can understand instructions, hopefully!

Anyone done this, or know of a site that describes it.

Microsoft remote desktop? Default port is 3389 but it can be changed

As jlanng has mentioned above, the remote desktop functionality built into XP is your best and simplest route, only if you have XP Pro at home.

Let us know what you've got and I'll try and tailor a description of which system to use.

I have XP Pro at home, so will try that, but any assistance offered would be great!
