Red X instead of pictures

Red X instead of pictures
On my pc at home I often get a red x instead of the picture on some websites.I have had at look at the settings and can`t see why it is doing it.
I run Windows XP and it is on internet explorer 6 sp1.
Checked the same site at work and it is fine,that pc uses ie 6 sp1 but on windows 2000.
Is it something I need to change on XP or can it be done on the IE6 settings?
