Browser java not working - how to change
I'm trying to use sites like Autotrader and TimesOnline car locater but the drop down boxes and input boxes aren't working at all. I think its a Java(script) problem which I don't know how to fix.
Java IS enabled according to the browser pereferences
IE6 has a similar problem, in that the search results don't produce clickable links. Really wierd.
My Browser is netscape navigator 7.1 (much prefer to IE6)
OS WinXP SP1
Any ideas ?

I like Netscape 7.1 too
All I can think of is that the Java plugin isn't working correctly. If you goto the Tools menu and select Web development, click on Java console. Does a Java window appear (and an icon come up in the bottom right hand corner of your PC)?
If not, I would go here and get the latest Java plugin.

Before you get too gooey about Netscape 7, be aware that Netscape have actually stopped developing it, (so you are using the latest and last ever version of it).
If you don't like IE, then I suggest you give mozilla a go (http://mozilla.org). It's the broswer engine that Netscape was based upon, and is still under development and so bugs are more likely to be fixed etc
Cheers,
Iain
