anyone know of where i can find some free help in converting www.skratchthesurface.co.uk into a php database type affair as i assume it would be a lot easier for me to manage the info on there via databases?

Question

Any reason for PHP? ASP & Cold Fusion do the same job. ASP is probably more tolerant of sloppy coding

Any preference for database? Access/MSSQL/MySQL/et. al.

www.skratchthesurface.co.uk on port 80 is running
Server: Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.2 FrontPage/5.0.2.2634 mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.6b

PHP or PERL unless you want to change servers! I'm sorry - I do ASP and Cold Fusion

I would however seriously consider putting a database behind the application. If you want any design tips on how to structure your data then please drop me a line - rich@sjskyline.com
