I need to hire a grunty server to do some performance testing at work. I should only need it for a week or so, so I don't really want to go spending £10K - £15K on it.
Would like to get at least Dual Xeons, preferably Quad, with lashings of memory and nice fast hard drives.
Anybody know of any companies that do this kind of thing? I tried Google, but I just get on-line games servers .

Hire IT are good, but also try Hamilton Rentals and Syscap. HP outsource their loan pool to these three companies, I prefer HireIT though.

Have you tried getting one from your suppliers on eval, depending how much you spend with them and how big your company is most large suppliers will let you have one for eval purposes, I used to get kit from Compaq who paid HireIt to supply.

Dell also do eval, you try it for 30 days and then either, 1. pay for it and keep it or 2. return it
