Converting files??????
#1
I have started that mundane task of entering my results and their is no light at the end of the tunnel...as yet. It was just a thought but I was wondering if it was at all possible to convert an Excel File into SPSS?????????????????
If this is not possible does anyone know any resources, which would enable me to CLEARLY determine which variable is correct in the 'measure column' for my different types of questions? I think I have it figured out just would like a point of reference as it don’t want to continue incorrectly!!!
any info welcome i'm a lady in distress!!

File, open data, choose all files from the list , select the Excel file you need to convert, then select OK to the pop up message and your excel file should then be converted into SPSS.
If you find that your file is messed up(ie spaces and columns don't match) try saving the excel file into a .csv format first then do the same thing, this will then give you better options so that you can specify fixed width and delimited options.
