Unhappy

OK

I've got my XBox and I've got my crossover cable. My PC (according to its specs) has got an internal network card and an RJ45 port on the back of it.

The XBox is connected to the PC via the crossover cable, but the PC is refusing to recognise the network link. It still says a network cable is unplugged.

I've tried every conceivable installation, reconfiguration and jiggery pokery that I can think of, but it just won't work.

Is there some fundamental issue I'm missing here or I am destined never to get on Live?

Any help gratefully received.

Matt

Question

Is there anyway to test a cable to see whether it's working properly or not?

Smile

Turned off firewall and AVS but with no result.

Should be testing another crossover cable today to eliminate this as the problem.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
