Opinions on KVM switches please
#1
I have been given a very low spec pc which I intend to use as a download box/firewall possibly but obviously dont want the clutter of two monitors/keyboards etc on my desk.
I have seen KVM switches about but have never actually used one before.I do a lot of online gaming so just wonder wether I will get keyboard or mouse lag using one of these.
Are these things happy with cordless stuff as well also I have seen reviews where people complain of ghosting what causes this?
Finally does anyone have any reccomendations as to which one to buy
Cheers

I use a Belkin Omniview at home. It's a few years old, so doesn't have the latest USB/printer/etc facilities (PS2-mouse/PS2-keyboard/monitor only). The image quality is heavily dependent on the quality of the cables used. It's worth spending money on decent cables - get proper, decent shielded kit.

Time for that second monitor/keyboard then, or remote control s/w as stated above. VNC is my preference (probably still need a keyboard plugged in though).
