Okay, before the hassle starts - my two young chums 2 & 4 like the Sega because .... well because they haven't played with anything more modern. I like them using the Sega as the machine takes a damn good beating and the cartridges seem to handle it.

Whats robust enough for kids? has a good range of childrens games etc?

Does anybody make kiddie proof PC's??

Cheers

A chipped XBox with the games on the HDD will keep sticky fingers off th DVDs.

But I fear the catalogues of games you want isnt there yet. There are emulators for older consoles though so you may find you could get the best games of lots of consoles - all on the HDD so they never had to touch a cartridge or disk again...

£120 for xbox, one controller and one game is the best deal I found if buying new. A little cheaper on Ebay but I prefer to pay a bit more for a warranty.

Thumbs up

I've got two kiddies too - Adam and Ollie, (4 and 2 also) and if I let them they would spend all most of their time on either the Gamecube or Gameboy Advance SP

I've found most of our Xbox games too violent for them (or maybe thats just my choice of XB games!) but GC titles such as MarioKart and Monkeyball make the GC ideal for youngsters.

So, GC is my advice (plus Zelda is ace!)
