If you have broadband from a supplier ie pipex does this have to be on a bt line? (can it be telewest or the like?)

Broadband (ADSL) has to be a BT Line
If you are with Telewest or NTL (or in an area cabled for these networks), you can a broadband connection using the cable carrying the TV signal to also provide your broadband connection.
