www.blankdiscshop.co.uk AKA SVP communications are cheap and sell Ritek disks. I regularly buy from them and have had no problems.

Yo Dunk

We should have a large selection of GO4 Ritek in tomorrow.

Have been using the Ridisk cinereels. Don't look that great but have a fantastic speed curve on them.
The purple-top Ridata also seem a cracking disk.

Ritek wise, steer clear of the printables with PIODATA on the hub, had a lot of failures on them. Datasafe also have a batch of these PIODATA disks out but with the Datasafe brand on them, again, steer clear.

If you think we can be of help, mail us at; sales@diskdepot.co.uk

I'm looking for some DVD+R's to be used when I back-up my original X-box games. Can anybody recommend a brand of disk to go for?

Anything that's got a Ritek dye should do the trick (G03 or G04 dyes)

SVP are the best company and I've used em many times.Excellent service all the time with em too!!!!

I've used MANY Traxdata disks for PS2 backups and they are BRILLIANT disks. (They use a Ritek dye anyway)
SVP are doing em at £10.99 for 10.It's well worth paying the extra to get a good disk (Don't cut corners on em as I've found out to my cost on quite a few occasions!!)

Good Luck

Nick

Yeah, but you don't need a great deal of choice in my opinion.Stick to Traxdata and you can't go wrong!! (Or a Ritek dye based disk)

I use the Ricoh DVD+R disks from SVP. Price is good, and I have not yet had a defective one.

Interesting how Ritek have turned their act around. They used to have an appauling reputation back in the earlier days of CD-R. Now many, many big names (TDK, for example) have their disks made by Ritek.

For Anyone who lives near Warrington...... A shop has opened up in Padgate selling a variety of DVDR's and CD's at prices lower than Bowlers. In fact they advertise themselves as 'Bowlers' without the 4quid entrance fee and hassle parking. Printable 4 x Riteks for 90p and Datasafe's for 55p - Happy Days!

They are cheap when you can just walk into a shop and buy 1 at that price and not have to buy 25 or add ridiculous postage charges Those prices were based on Nov 03 so prob changed now.

Nope,I bought my Ritek 4x minus R's from the same shop before xmas and they were 90p each.In fact,SVP are only selling them in spindles of 50 for £45.As Russ says, you can buy them individually if you like (But who'd do that anyway though )

Nick

Wouldn't want to commercially advertise until i've spoken to Shaun.

But cheap is considerably less than 90p each for GO4 Ritek (say perhaps, 69p each )
