That is about the normal price of an entry level TFT on the net, so yes its a good price.

Remember though all TFT's under £2000 are just interior design, as they have blocky pixels, lower refresh rates and burnt out pixels and cost 3 times as much to get almost like for like.

£109 inc vat in PC world for a 19" CRT with 1600x1200 res at 75hz would beat any TFT under 2 grand. If anyone wants to dispute this please put spec and price down here.

IMO the benefits of style and size of a TFT screen far outweigh the slight improvement in image quality of a good CRT screen.

I have a 17" CTX TFT, with DVI input from an ATI card and and the image quality is fantastic, all for less than £500.

Agree that the majority of £200 TFT's aren't upto much, although the Iiyama 15" screens are pretty good, around £220.

Thumbs up

I've got an NEC MultiSync LCD1700v 17" at work. No complaints

Were ~ £450 when it was purchased - don't know how much now?
