Question

Seeing as we are all chatting on a BB I was wondering about the security of these sites? They, by their very nature, need to be relatively open to every internet user.

What is likelyhood of a BB getting hacked? and messed about with?

I don't need posts saying how to do it - obviously, just wondering if they are vulnerable or not?

They all are. No computer system is invulnerable....it just depends on the competency of the hacker and what they have to gain from doing it.

You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Use of the word "GEEKS" is probably tempting fate if it could be done, especially in this forum.

Question

Anyone know how many times SN gets hacked? whether it does at all? or how many attempts are blocked?

Clearly, theres not much to gain from doing it - but a nutter?

Pete

Pete,

Following your thread about "how do I get back on the MX5 board", I'm locking this as I can see why you're interested.

Scoobynet does not run off the shelf software in order that it is more secure... More than that, ask webmaster@scoobynet.co.uk

Cheers,
Nick.
