I am reaching the conclusion technology just doesn't like me lol.
I got my swtich from a mate that works in a network company (Netgear fast ethernet swtich model fs116), got an array of straight through and cross over cables of varying lengths, then I look at the back fo the switch and it says it needs a 5vdc 5.0a powersupply, however, the one he has given me is much higher, so I rang him, he said don't use it, and he must of lost the proper one!
Argh. I hate it when you got all the bits bar one, and you can't do anything with it, it's like getting a bike for christmas with no pedals, or some other analogy that makes you feel frustrated
Off to Maplins 2moro then!
