I hope? Haven't got the xbox live trial. Haven't got the xbox chipped yet obviously as only got it about 30 mins ago Is there any system I can use to get online that doesn't require a chip/ftp'ing to the xbox?
I want to race you guys on line asap!
Also got 2 extra controllers, Halo and Crash Banditcoot Nitro Kart racing for some 3 player action with the Mrs and my son Cost me £200 though so it better be good!
Any help much appreciated
P.S. DJ Dunk I see you are in Kent, where abouts as I may need to contact you about certain things in respect of the xbox?

The trial comes free with PGR2 Bravo.
I cut and pasted this from Cookies post.
http://www.xboxlink.co.uk/
That should just about do it
basically install xlink on pc, open ports 34518-34519 (udp) on router (if you use one) set needed firewalls permissions, boot up xlink on pc go to game room and join a room. Boot up xbox with chosen game go to system link multiplayer options and all being well you should find the game

Cheers Jye!
Well off out for dinner now and haven't even unboxed it yet so will set it all up later and hopefully give it a go.
Can you swap id's easily cos I want to get W69 playing as well
Also as I haven't played it I wont have any cars etc so can I just put a cheat in to get all cars and tracks so I can play on line with a decent car etc? Not really bothered about completing the single player game as I havent even done more than 20% of GT3 in the 3 years I've had it lol so just want to play on line and race

Have you discussed this with her?

Once its chipped you can, Cookie posted how to do it a couple of days ago. Cookie and Dunk could make a living out of this I reckon

Know about ps2 stuff inside out but then its not exactly complicated but have no idea about xbox at all so sure I will be back later with some questions as just about to unbox it and set it all up

Cheers Dunk, will do soon.
PGR2 is just a bit more difficult to get used than GT3!
You can only get round corners using the handbrake? Using the Leon Cupra and unless I use the handbrake the thing just goes striaght on. At first I was not impressed but getting used it now - slightly! I must be doing something wrong cos its a nightmare to drive compared to GT3

Found I have to be *very* careful when using the analogue stick to keep in in the middle (for up/down) to make sure I get full lock for left/right.
Wait until you get to "American Muscle Car Series" . An oil tanker is easier to steer through the tight turns.

Shouldn’t happen Bravo, thought the brakes were pretty well handled, make sure the controller is configured OK; I changed it to setting B.
Either that or you’re driving like a maniac

There is lots of undeersteer to work around on those 4x4 motors...try trail braking (turn in whilst on brakes) and then getting full power down once the back end starts to swing...its just like driving a scooby!

Deano spot on! Its what I was doing because looking at the stick when I was trying to turn left it was pointing nearly down instead of left! Not used to the huge controllers yet compared to PS2 and the PS2 ones dont seem to have a problem with going left/right if you dont get it exactly right.
Having played it a fair bit last night decided I am only doing the medium levels on each test as hard and expert are just impossible for me at the moment.
Am doing the open top sports car class or what ever it is (the second level of tests). Wasted my kudos on a BMW Z4 and its pants - there's a surprise - birds car!
Only just discovered you can walk round the show rooms and look at all the cars and drive the ones you have available to you in later levels, some very nice cars
So on the multiplayer levels do I just get a choice of what I have in my current garage? How does it work for car choice as no point me playing while I have such **** cars compared to those who have been racing ages and have super cars
Much happier with the game now than I was after the first hour. And even got the Mrs doing some of the levels for me so it better be completed by the time I get home dear!
Thanks for the help and advice guys
Will try and set up the online stuff tonight and have a bash.

You'll get humped online if you don't have the best cars in each class. I play Pacific Muscle a lot just because of the Scoob/Evo/Skyline. you get good races in this class and not the ramming every barrier with the Ferrari Enzo kiddies
if you plum through on silver it won't take you long to finish it just Try for all Platinum now that will take a while

Cheers but as its £20 then I might as well wait until I get it chipped as a mate of a mate will do it for £60 I think. Just thought there might have been a way of geting data off a cd onto the harddrive of the xbox with some software that was all.

I haven't got the patience to play all those races lol to unlock cars for online play! I've only done 20% of GT3 because I couldn't be ar$ed with races I didn't like, just kept playing my favourite ones once i'd got some decent cars.
There is no tuning in PGR2 like GT3 is there?

Am going to use the free alternative that doesnt require chipping - the xlink one isnt it that Jye put at the beginning of this thread.
I looked up the original post about xlink and so do I take it that I should go with the later/newer version thats posted later in that thread? Will I still see all the peeps on here?
