Hi,
Basically whats the simplest way to save the following..
1.My documents folder.
2.My favourites list.
3.My emails and addresses.
Or is it easier to just save everything.
Never done a backup before, thought its about time i started doing them as i now have a lot of valuable information etc.
I have a dvd writer and Nero.
Thanks
Paul...

If thats all you need simply copy fav and docs folders to CD, For email and contacts in outlook you need to do a search for the .pst file, you must set folder options to show hiden files and folders then just copy .pst files to CD, this file contains email and contact lists

Yup, back it all up as data - pics, docs, shortcuts etc.
What version of Outlook are using? "Full" or Outlook Express?
If it's Outlook, in addition to any .psts you might have a .pab file which is an address book.
For Express, on the Tools > Options menu, IIRC, it's the maintenance tab and then click Store Folder. This will tell you where OE is keeping your mail. You'll need all of this folder (.dbx etc).
