If I use iTunes to edit all the song information is it possible to syncronise this information so that it changes filenames artists accordingly?

As I have altered all the artists names etc in iTunes but they still appear the same in my My Music Folder.

Go into Preferences, then 'advanced' do you have the "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" option enabled? if not then you could enable it and see if it makes a difference, you may need to then select 'add to library' and select your existing music folder, if it does not automatically organise things.

being ****, I usually rename the mp3 files before putting them into iTunes.

Oh, and have you got iTunes 4.2 yet?

Cheers that worked, seems to update it self now even though it was already selected after I re did that setting.

Since when did iTunes 4.2 come out, I onldy downloaded this version 3 days ago.

iTunes 4.2 was out on, umm wednesday I think. Do not see it in software update yet, but it might be soon. Not sure what it fixes or adds, but worth getting anyway.

I do love the 'organize' feature, very handy when you're aksed to clean up someones album collection, just whack it on the mac, organise it, tell em 'there you go' lovely!
