I've just bought an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer. When I try to scan I get a message saying "epson scan cannot be started". I spoke to the help desk and they told me to uninstall the program via the Device Manager. It then worked OK until I turned off the printer. When I turn it on again and try to scan I am back to square one.

I've been thro' this umpteen times but always the same result. After 3 more calls to epson they concluded that it is a windows XP glitch wherein the PC does not save the scan program (well I never!!)

I've been on to the Windows web site but no mention of this problem and no updates for it.

Can anybody out there help?
