Audio Controller Driver for Medion PC
#1
Hi all
I've bought a second hand Medion PC (P4 1.6 GHz Serial # 48328010020310) but the previous owner had completly wiped the hard disk and there are no recovery CD's with it.
I went to www.medion.co.uk and got drivers for the modem and video card but there is no mention of audio controllers. Phoned Medion support and he said to go to www.medion.de and it would be on there. Tried that and it seems that he was talking out of his @rse as it wasn't there and just listed the exact same as the .co.uk site did
If anyone has a similar PC they may know where I can come across this driver or perhaps send me a copy of their drivers on CD as I have no sound at the moment. BTW I've installed XP Professional.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Gavin

If you go back to the download section of medion.co.uk and enter "sound" in the full text search box (do not enter your serial number) it returns a drivers for various soundcards. You will need to know which one you have, which you can either get using the method Mr cookie suggests, or you might be able to get it from the device manager.

if its on board sound just look on the motherboard for the model - the motherboard Mfr's website should have drivers. forgot o say - I just managed it with a salty old packard bell thing - so it can't be that hard.
