Question

We've a rackmounted APC 5000va UPS, but it comes a couple of these power cables.

I've checked the APC website and it doesn't have any cables with a standard 13-amp plug. Is it because it's drawing a larger current that it needs these 16A rated cables?

If so, how the heck do you wire these up to a mains supply?

The female end to plug into the UPS is an IEC60320-C19 (formally known as an IEC320-C19).

Compaq do they as parts 305340-031 (Sales) or 295547-031 (Spares). Active Electronics in High Wycombe should be able to do the spare kit.

Or RS, part 311-9315 @ £5.99 which is probably about a quarter of the price of the Compaq item

Thumbs up

That's the fella's, cheers Chris

I'll see if Dell can ship them to me FOC (I'd have expected them to be supplied with our £5K UPS )

APC sell the male/female cables for £18 each , so God knows what the Compaq price would be
