Question

OK, so I'm finally tempted by an xbox with the latest crop of 'live' games appearing...

Question is, I have BT broadband with a standard USB cable modem. Can I use this to direct link the xbox, or do I have to get a router and cable it up with my PC??

Xbox connects to broadband via a nic card so your bb modem will need to connect via RJ45, what you cheapest bet to do is to connect xbox to pc via a crossover cable, then allow pc to share internet connection.

Best method would be to buy an ADSL modem/router and use this to share your internet connection for 2 reasons

1. your pc won't need to be on when your playing xbox live
2. your pc will like you for not making it use so much cpu time talking to a usb modem
