Question

I'm shortly moving house and was considering the above options for broadband. I've currently got a 600k NTL connection with NTL TV and phone but was considering the (still 512k?) BT ADSL route and Sky for TV. Anyone got any good reasons to recommend one setup over the other?

Yup, ADSL is still 512kbps. However, note you don't have to have your ADSL service from BT. You will need a BT phone line (and number) to order it. Look at the services from Eclipse, Zen, Nildram and Pipex before ordering

I've got the NTL 1meg connection for the net, and sky for the tv (you don't have to have the cable tv to get the internet)

Sorry, should have said entry level ADSL is 512Kbps. Then you have 1Mbps and 2Mbps above it.
