has anyone got any help they can give me with my pc, occasionally it will reboot of it`s own accord, sometimes when I`m playing games or on the internet, there does`nt seem to be a set patern. When the pc reboots it stops just after the post screen with a message saying NTLDR.....missing. It tells you to restart but get same message when I restart. When I go into the bios no of the drives are listed. I can re-configure the 2 cd drives and the slave hard drive, but the primary hard just is`nt there. I exit the bios and after a couple of restarts it boots up ok again, could it be a faulty hard drive, motherboard. I`m at my wits end. Thanks in advance Mark

ive had something similar when i didnt use a virus scanner.

hope youre using one!

hiya all,

i got that same prob when i left a floppy in the drive that had no boot code on it, its sort of a " there's nothing to boot from here " message, maybe its time to backup data and re-install.

could well be a boot sector problem / virus. i would continue to use pc only if valuable data is backed up.
