I restarted a machine in DOS mode to copy some stuff over, and now whenever it boots it ends up at the command prompt, and you have to type exit to get it to then restart back to bios and boot into windows.
Anyone know how to stop this (don't really wanna add "win" to bottom of autoexec as it will have a load of cdrom driver crap etc loaded then).

From memory (but it's a bit cr@p )
There is a line in the config.sys file or the autoexec.bat that makes behave that way, you need to delete this line and reboot and all will be fine.
Unfortunately it's been a few years that I've had to deal with this problem and cannot remember what the line is
If you cannot see if for yourself, post a copy of each file on here, I'll point it out to you. As soon as I see it, I'll know which line it is.

Thanks for the help!!
It turns out it was user error on his behalf. When i had restarted it in DOS mode, windows saved that last shutdown action as default on the shutdown options.
When he came to shutting down he was just pressing enter and not expecting it to be set to DOS mode.
