help...ftp port 21 already in use

hello,
pls help me

i have installed serv-u on a 2k server and when i try to assign it to utilise port 21 it says port already in use.

however default ftp on IIS is OFF !!

any ideas??

Is the default ftp service actually stopped though? Use netstat -a to show all listening ports to confirm.

Check the service "FTP Publishing Service" is stopped and set it to a startup type of "Disabled" so it doesnt bork next reboot

no joy, this is some Pubstro hack with hidden serv-u install too...

getting close to sorting it now.....

b4stard hackers are dead if i get hold of them...!!! LOL
