I've got to buy a replacement PSU for a PII-600 PC (i know i know should replace the PC but its all my mate has got and can afford). He's currently got a 200w unit. Anyone recommend anywhere to buy a really cheap relacement. Don't want to spend £60 on an enermax jobbie or ought.

Cheers
Marc

I have a Macron 400W which was £45 & is excellent.
A 300W would be good enough for that set up. You are better off getting a higher quality lower powered psu than one of these cheap 500w units.

Thumbs up

If it's an ATX PSU you're after, i've got a cheap one I can sell you....

Came in a TASK midi case, 300W, works well, not the quietest PSU you'll find....£10 inc pnp

The Q-Tec 550w are really, really6 excellent for the money. Although I use top class, top price PSU's in my own super rigs, I use those 550w's for EVERYTHING else and I have yet to be disappointed by a single one. used about 10 of them, have yet to experience a single failure .

Cheers,

Nick
