We're off to Oz just after Xmas and was wondering wether a 3 1/2 year old would be able to use a Gameboy Advance ok. Would help pass the time on the plane, and then I can have a go as well! I saw a game in Dixons which said was suitable for 3 years+

regards,

greg

Greg,
My lads had a gameboy since he was about 5, uses it only really on long car journeys, he has a GBA, and I must say don't get one ! the lighting on them is rubbish (you will need an additional light unless played in direct sunlight) the GBA SP is much better so go for one of those, I'm sure most kids will play with them, 3 yrs may be a liitle young though.

The Gameboy SP is definetly a lot better due to the backlight for the screen. As the screen folds away it also a lot harder to scratch it etc.

Thumbs up

we sold our old GBA (good bit of kit let down by lack of back light) and now have 2 GBA SP's. My 4 year old plays Mario a fair bit on one of them.

My advise is to get one - should make a good pressie, but get the SP version.

Hello

My 3 year old daughter has my old GameBoy. She likes the music, doesn't seem to want to actually play the games though.

Greg, you wanted us to say yes didn't you? Love the "and I can have a go" bit!!!

If you want, you can borrow my GBA SP and see how you get on. I'll be in Wood St next week and could leave it with one of the secretaries.

Phil
