Shutdown prob on Windows XP
I'm running Windows XP, with Norton antivirus, and Zone Alert.
My problem is that my PC won't shut down when I tell it to.......I simply get a message telling me "Can't shut down. To shut down now click on "end now" but any data stored may be lost" or something like that.
Why would it do that, and how can I stop it?
Cheers guys,
Alcazar(Mystified)

Basically means that, when trying to shutdown, an application refused to close (or took longer than the 20 or so seconds XP allows each to get out of the way!) The message window will tell you which app is misbehaving.
I HAVE got auto update running....it's just asked me to download updates.
Will that do it then?
It doesn't tell me it's running as a programme along the bottom, so how am I supposed to know.
