Evening all.

When going through my daily server checks tonight, i came accross something not right.

When in the application log of a particular server, the server shows loads of events, but i can't view any of them. I can move through them, but only get a blue bar: image attached, sorry for the size:

Thanks!

I have only ever seen this on SP4 Win2k Servers, not on workstatioons, and only on Compaq Servers too

Not sure what it is, but it does appear SP4 related, it even does it if you connect to it from a SP3 server

Also if you go to the application log first, all other logs will be the same blank lines, if you go to system first , all will be ok cept the application one

Hi Davie

Sorry I dont know of a fix yet, could do with one myself as it is getting frustrating now when on customers sites who are running SP4 and have this problem

If I get chance I will speak to Microsoft and see if they are actually aware of this problem

Yeh, but don't understand why its happening only on one server.

They are all dell servers and are identical in configuration except disks.

Davie.
