Does it take 10 mins to download patches (new pc broadband) and then 45 minutes to install them [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Cos they are applied at byte level rather than file level.
Meaning if a .dll is updated, rather than download a new .dll the current one is changed byte by byte to match the new one.
This hugely decreases the download time, but ovbiously it increases the time required to fit the patch.
