Show all files? Make sure you're not hiding system files?

my computer - tools - folder options make sure you have selected "view hidden files and folders" and unselected "hide operating system files"

now when you go into folder dave, look in the "local settings" folder, you will see several more folders. ones of interest would be temp and "temporary internet files" run treesize on each of these to see if thats your problem.

Its worth remembering that Dave's my documents folder is also contained in that folder, so if you have been storing documents, music files, or photos in there they soon add up.

That 1.6Gb will include everything in your My Documents etc...

That folder is where your 'Profile' for XP is stored.

the ~pst***.tmp files are I believe created by photoshop. my guess is you have been using photoshop and crashed out at some point and the temp files got left behind. Assuming of course you have photoshop installed.
